About This Station

The station is powered by an Oregon Scientific WMR928NX weather station. The data is collected every 15 seconds and the site is updated every 10 minutes. This site and its data is collected using Weather Display Software. The station is comprised of an anemometer, a rain gauge and a thermo-hydro sensor situated in optimal positions for highest accuracy possible.

Hume Highway cuts top left, Mickleham Road cuts across the bottom. Mount Ridley Road slices off the top right corner, and Mickleham lies to the left of this and on this side of the Hume Highway.

About

Mickleham is a locality within Greater Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 32 km north from Melbourne's central business district beyond the Urban Growth Boundary. Its Local Government Area is the City of Hume. At the 2006 Census, Mickleham had a population of 1,287.

Mickleham is located north of Yuroke, on Mickleham Road.

History

Mickleham Post Office opened on 1 February 1862 and closed in 1967. To the west of the locality a Konagaderrer office opened in 1913 as settlement took place along Deep Creek but closed in 1920. This area is now known as Konagaderra Springs.

Today

Mickleham has one primary school. Mickleham Primary School is located on the corner Mickleham and Mount Ridley Road's. Next to the primary school is the community centre and tennis courts.
